Uses:

Ammonium acetate is used as a reagent in analytical chemistry for determining lead and iron content. In addition, it is a chemical intermediate in manufacturing acetamide.

Ammonium acetate is also a diuretic in veterinary medicine, other drugs, textile dyeing, meat preservatives, foam rubbers, vinyl plastics, stripping explosives, and determining lead and iron content.
