Polyetheramine D-4000 can react as typical primary amines. Due to its fast-reacting nature with isocyanates, it has found wide use in polyurethane and polyurea applications.

In addition, it has found application in conjunction with other polyamines. D-4000 formulated systems exhibit enhanced peel strengths.

And an intriguing application for Polyetheramine D-4000 is in epoxy systems for metal priming via cathodic electrodeposition. However, as the JEFFAMINE D2000 equivalent, other benefits are all same as JEFFAMINE D4000.
