Uses:

Glyoxylic acid is the raw material for vanillin production in the flavor industry. It is also the intermediate for pharmaceuticals, including atenolol, D-Hydroxybenzeneglycin, broad-spectrum antibiotic amoxicillin (orally taken), acetophenone, etc.

As a specialty chemical and biodegradable copolymer feedstock, glyoxylic acid is a cleaning agent for various industrial applications. Besides, glyoxylic acid is also used in dyes, plastics, and agricultural chemicals.
