IR-211 Wetting and Dispersing Additive for Solvent-Borne Systems

Composition:

IR-211Copolymer with acidic groups.

Typical Properties:

Acid value, mg KOH/gDensity at 20°C, g/mlNon-volatile matter, %Flashpoint, °C
IR-2111291.1695>100
These properties are provided as typical properties. Not the product technical index.

Proposed Dosages:

Dosage based upon inorganic pigments, %Titanium dioxide
IR-2102.5-51-3
The above-recommended dosages strongly depend on pigment particle size. Therefore, the laboratory should calculate optimal dosages according to a different formula.

Addition Methods&Process Technology Instructions:

These additives should be added to the abrasive before adding pigments for optimum performance.

Functions:

These additives deflocculate pigments through steric hindrance because of the small particle sizes of the deflocculated pigments, High gloss is achieved, and color strength is improved.

Additionally, transparency and hiding power are increased. These products can also reduce viscosity. Then flow leveling is improved, thus increasing the pigment content.

Uses:

Coil coatingsRecommended
Automotive coatingsRecommended
Wood and furniture coatingsRecommended
Protective coatingsRecommended

Special Features:

IR-211IR-211 is mainly used in high-solid and solvent-free painting systems. Because of its anionic character, it is ideal for acid-catalyzed systems (such as coil coatings). IR-211 can increases gloss, reduces haziness (especially in high rotation “mini bell“and/or other electrostatic operation systems).

Packing and Storage:

Packed in iron drums of 25 kg or 200 kg net each. The validity period is 12 months in sealed containers. Or according to the customers’ requirements.

metal drum

Special Notes:

IR-211Heat up to 30-40℃ and mix well before use. The product should be stored in an airtight container and cannot be stored after predilution.
