As methyl replaces hydrogen for hydrosilylation, polyethylene glycol allyl methyl ethers eliminate the reactions between hydrogen and silicon-oxygen bond, which effectively reduce the viscosity, increase the effective content, improve the silicone oil polyether-modified quality, inhibit the secondary reaction, increase the goods stability of storage.

Polyethylene glycol allyl methyl ethers (PGAME) is widely used as foam stabilizer and emulsifier in polyurethane field, flatting agent in paint and coatings field, and softening agent and antistatic agent in textile field. Polyethylene glycol allyl methyl ethers is also used as defoaming agent, lubricating agent, glass fogging agent etc in other industries.
