Tween-81, Emulsifier T-81

Properties:

Tween-81 is soluble in hard water, diluted acid/alkalis, and most organic solvents. Relative density: 1.00±0.05, HLB value is 10.0.

Tween-81, known as polyoxyethylene (5) sorbitan monooleate, consists of sorbitol, ethylene oxide, and oleic acid. At room temperature, it is in the form of a pale-yellow-orange oily liquid.

Uses:

Tween-81 is used as an emulsifier, solubilizer, stabilizer, diffusant, lubricant, etc.

As an O/W emulsifier and dispersant, Tween-81 is often used in conjunction with the appropriate Crill. Good solubilizing properties are recommended in systems with unsaturated lipid components such as oleyl alcohol and vegetable triglycerides.

Handle with care; Tween-81 is stored in a cool, dry, and draughty place. The shelf life is two years. Then, Tween-81 can still be used if qualified after re-check.
